My Approach

I’ve been practising for over 30 years, and am one of the first practitioners to use CAT in work with couples.

My practice is in the ancient town of Maldon in Essex, it’s history dating back to 913 AD.

If you are looking for a CAT therapist then we usually agree initially on 16 sessions, with a follow-up about three months after the final session.

If you are looking for longer-term therapy then I normally see individuals for 1-3 hours a week, depending on need, for my individual clients.

We discuss your needs and your expectations either via email or telephone prior to the start of therapy and, if you are looking for individual therapy, I offer the first session free of charge, so you can experience how I work and whether I am the right therapist for you.

If you are seeking therapy for yourself and a partner I usually see you for about three hours per session, so that you have the opportunity to work in a secure space with your partner, whilst you express your feelings and begin to find ways of communicating together, honestly and openly, with me as a witness. This enables you both to find ways out of your impasse as a couple.

I can offer sessions via Skype and FaceTime if you are unable to attend our sessions in person.
